Richard goes to See
Congratulations (if that’s the right word) to Old Pauline and former Pauline Meetings leader Rt Revd Richard Atkinson, who was consecrated as Bishop of Bedford in St Paul’s Cathedral on 17 May.
“I am passionate about the Church’s capacity to change all lives and communities for the better,” said Richard, whose work has included being founder Chair of St Philip’s Centre, Leicester, the award-winning centre for study and engagement in a multi-faith society.
Moving from his position as Archdeacon of Leicester, Richard added: “My CV shows that God clearly feels I need to stay as far away from the sea as possible, and that I have a particular calling to ministry to the M1...” Our prayers and best wishes go with Richard, his wife Helen and their family.
